Umhausen boasts a great variety of attractions, among them the region's only swimming lake with crystal clear mountain waters, the interesting Ötzi Village which gives an insight into the everyday life of the Iceman, and the 159m-high Stuibenfall, Tirol's highest waterfall.
NEW: 5 scenic and sometimes wildly exposed viewing platforms open up new dimensions in watching the mighty waters of the Stuiben Falls. Passionate nature fans can cross the waterfall on a suspension bridge which is connected to a leisurely loop hike. This is an alternative trail to the ascending route from Umhausen to Niederthai, that takes approximately one hour. On the left side of the Stuiben Falls a via ferrata - which is also suitable for families - leads from the first viewing platform in Umhausen to Niederthai. Dare devils and adrenalin junkies can cross the waterfall on almost invisible steel ropes!
